Himne de la Unió Europea - National Anthem of the European Union
Adoptat com a Himne i Símbol de la Unió Europea el 1985, el compositor alemany Herbert von Karajan -a petició del Consell d'Europa- escriu tres arranjaments musicals sobre l'últim moviment de la Novena Sinfonia en RE Menor de Ludwig van Beethoven, que a la vegada s'havia inspirat en l'An die Freude (Oda a l'Alegria) de Friedrich von Schiller.
