"Rabbits" and his History calypsoes

Does anyone remember these History class calypso-rhythm poems that Mr. Roberts taught us at the Dragon School?

Christopher Columbus:

"The Nina, the Pinta, the Santa Maria
sailed to the west, though filled with fear..."

Richard IV

"   . ..princes in the tower,
Only reigned for a quarter of an hour.
Bad uncle Dick said they had no right,
Smothered them with pillows in the middle of the night."
